| This symposium will be held on the first day of 47th Society of Electron Spin Science and Technology (SEST2008). In this symposium, the new concept of academic area “Spin Biology” will be proposed as the concept of not only in vivo redox regulation such as reactive oxygen species and free radicals associated with initiation and/or development of various diseases and redox-related signaling alteration but also structural biology such as analysis of endogenous proteins having SH-group and metal-containing enzymes using ESR and NMR. And also, in this symposium, 2 special talks by lecturers from USA and Poland and 5 talks by domestic speakers will be planned. And then, the new concept will be discussed among young researchers in cooperation with “The association of young researchers of SEST”. | |
