20th JSPS Core-to-Core Seminar: International Redox Core Symposium

Date: February 5th (Sun)-February 6th (Mon),2012

Purpose: This symposium aims to deepen the debate on Core-to-Core program and transmit the establishment of international network system in the field of biological redox imaging research toward the rest of the world from Kyushu University.

19th JSPS Core-to-Core Seminar: Winter School in Fukuoka 2012

Date: February 4th (Sat),2012
Venue: Conference room at Innovation Center for Medical Redox Navigation, Kyushu University
Purpose: This seminar is organized for young researchers with background of biological redox research using magnetic resonance to discuss and enhance mutual exchanges in the research field. The ultimate goal is to produce quality and international young scholars for next generation.

We are accepting an abstract for oral presenter during our Winter School in Fukuoka 2012. Presenters have a total of 15 minutes (10 minutes for explanation and 5 minutes for Q&A). During a convivial party (2011/2/6), we will announce “the Winter School in Fukuoka 2012 Young Investigator award” for excellent presenters.

18th JSPS Core-to-Core Seminar: Japan-China In Vivo Redox Meeting

Date: November 26th (Sat) - November 27th(Sun),2011
Venue: Chinese Academy of Sciences, China
Purpose: This meeting focused on development of magnetic resonance imager, collaborative project of advanced research, and standardized protocol of its method. The awareness and solution toward redox imaging research were considered.


17th JSPS Core-to-Core Seminar: Japan-USA In Vivo Redox Meeting

Purpose: In this meeting, a standardized protocol of both redox imaging research with tumor model and its method was discussed.

15th JSPS Core-to-Core seminar: Japan-German In Vivo Redox Meeting

In this meeting, protocol about application of redox imaging technique to drug delivery system (DSS) and collaborative research were discussed with Prof. Karsten Mader, German coordinator.


14th JSPS Core-to-Core seminar: Japan-UK In Vivo Redox Meeting

In this meeting, recent results and protocol about development of magnetic resonance imager such as field cycle-DNP and its application to analysis of protein structure were discussed with Prof. David Lurie, UK coordinator.


13th JSPS Core-to-Core seminar: EPR 2010 Core-to-Core Symposium

This seminar was held in order to present the advanced research results of in vivo redox and to appeal for EPR2010 attendees to the Core-to-Core activity. The distinguished researchers from not only Europe and the United States but also Asia and Australia were participated in the EPR2010 conference and this seminar was contributed to the establishment of international network about magnetic resonance molecular imaging research.

1) 1st JSPS Core-to-Core Program Seminar: Kick-off meeting of the core-to-core program

This meeting was held during EPR2007:A Joint Conference of the 12th In Vivo EPR Spectroscopy and Imaging and the 9th International EPR Spin Trapping/Spin Labeling, from April 29 to May 3. In this meeting, we discussed the plan of international collaboration of in vivo molecular imaging for the purpose of the constitution of the research core of in vivo redox research using magnetic resonance approach.

2) 2nd JSPS Core-to-Core Program and Cooperation for Promotion for Research and Education of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Kyushu Seminar for young researchers in Kuju

Date: July 28(Sat) - July 31 (Tue), 2007

This seminar for graduated students, which is the collaboration of Cooperation for Promotion for Research and Education of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Kyushu, aims at the education of young researchers through lectures about the most resent research by professors of universities in Kyushu, talks by invited speakers from pharmaceutical companies, and discussion of small groups for 4 days.

In this meeting, each researcher from the participating countries will share the results of collaborative research with each other and discuss the problem about the announcement of information on the JSPS core-to-core program using core-to-core homepage. Furthermore, we will talk about the Winter School in Washington, the one-month resident program for young researchers, and the plan of next year

4) 4th JSPS Core-to-Core Program Seminar: International In Vivo Redox Symposium

Date: November 4 (Sun) - November 5 (Mon)

This symposium will be held just before SEST2007 in Shizuoka, which is located on the foot of Mt. Fuji. This symposium would provide good opportunity for exchange of the widespread, novel information on in vivo redox research, and for in-depth discussion, because the meeting will be organized in the style of Gordon Conference. We welcome that many researchers register the international core symposium, which is the satellite symposium of SEST 2007.

5) 5th JSPS Core-to-Core Program Seminar: Winter School on Redox Biology, Chemistry & Imaging

Date: November 12th, 2007 before SFRBM (Nov.14-18) Time : 2:00 pm
Place: Conference room (Building 10 Room 11S235) in National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA In the Winter School, postdoctoral fellows, who were obtained Ph.D. degree in Kyushu University and are now studying at the laboratory of Dr. Murali C. Krishna, are planning to hold the seminar for young researchers. This meeting will give you great opportunity which you can freely discuss with world-famous scientists about your research and make the network within young researchers.

The 8th JSPS Core-to-Core Program Seminar : Symposium on Spin Biology

This symposium will be held on the first day of 47th Society of Electron Spin Science and Technology (SEST2008). In this symposium, the new concept of academic area “Spin Biology” will be proposed as the concept of not only in vivo redox regulation such as reactive oxygen species and free radicals associated with initiation and/or development of various diseases and redox-related signaling alteration but also structural biology such as analysis of endogenous proteins having SH-group and metal-containing enzymes using ESR and NMR. And also, in this symposium, 2 special talks by lecturers from USA and Poland and 5 talks by domestic speakers will be planned. And then, the new concept will be discussed among young researchers in cooperation with “The association of young researchers of SEST”.
