On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to join us for "A Joint Conference of the 13th In Vivo ESR/EPR Spectroscopy & Imaging and the 10th International EPR Spin Trapping/Spin Labeling: Biomedical Redox Navigation" (EPR 2008) which will be held in Fukuoka (Japan) from 28 to 30 September, 2008.
It is generally accepted that many diseases are related to imbalance of biological redox status. "Redox Navigation" is an idea that is to pursue excellent therapeutic outcome, by analyzing biological redox status as early diagnosis of redox-related diseases, controlling the status with adequate treatments. Main theme of EPR2008 includes basic research, instrumental development, and biomedical application of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy and imaging, which is useful, unique strategy for analysis of biological redox status, including generation of reactive oxygen species and partial pressure of oxygen. In next to the main hall of conference, a special forum with respect to "Frontiers in Biomedical Redox Navigation" will be held on September 29 under the auspices of Innovation Center for Medical Redox Navigation, for extensive discussion all over Redox Navigation. The conference will be intended to enhance the personal exchange among the participants by planning a keep-touch and time. The organizing committee cordially invites scientists who are interested in Medical, Pharmaceutical, Biological, Chemical, Biophysical, and Technological aspects of EPR and in "Redox Navigation", and welcomes anyone who would like to participate and contribute.
Fukuoka city is the major city in Kyushu island of Japan, facing scenic Hakata Bay. The EPR2008 will take place at JAL Resort Sea Hawk Hotel Fukuoka, which locates on the waterfront at the west side of Fukuoka city, and you may enjoy wonderful landscape in the best season with the start of fall. We are looking forward very much to seeing you at the EPR2008 Conference.
